Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey symbolizes the rich history and heritage of New Orleans, taking its name from the famous Sazerac Coffee House where the city’s official cocktail was born. Produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, this flagship straight rye is aged for roughly six years in charred new American oak barrels and bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof). It strikes an elegant balance between sweet malt and assertive spice, opening with aromas of clove, vanilla, anise, and candied spice, followed by a palate rich in dark chocolate, black pepper, citrus peel, and warm oak that transitions into a crisp, clean finish.
