The Living Souls 40 Year Old (Batch #1, 70cl, 41.2% ABV) is the highly limited debut release from the independent bottler Whisky Souls. This whisky was paid down to marry in 1998 in a refill sherry butt. This unique quarter-century finishing period yields a complex, multi-layered profile that balances an elegant, antique wood character with vibrant tropical fruits like mango and pineapple. This fruitiness is accented by a subtle, savory whisper of coastal Islay smoke, a touch of herbal eucalyptus, and a distinct, floral-scented undertone.
