Matured exclusively in 100% first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, this edition focuses on the impact of extended fermentation, pushing Laphroaig’s standard 55-hour ferment up to 115 hours using cloudy wort. On the nose, it delivers fruity and subtly coastal aromas of stewed green apples, vanilla custard, zesty orange peel, and gentle peat smoke. The palate opens with a sweet, salty, and fruity balance of green apples, runny honey, and cream soda before giving way to soft bonfire peat and smoked seafood, concluding in a long, warming finish marked by lingering smokiness and a delicate touch of red berries.
