Crafted by whiskymaker John Glaser for boutique producer Compass Box, Magic Cask is a limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl format, strictly limited to 5,538 bottles worldwide. The blend centers around a parcel of mature malt from the lost Imperial Distillery aged in first-fill Bourbon barrels (92%), transformed by the addition of a single "magic cask"—a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt of youthful Speyside malt (8%). Presented natural in colour and non-chill filtered, it reveals an expressive, layered profile rich with aromas and flavours of dark marmalade, ripe Morello cherries, toffee apple, and creamy vanilla panna cotta, rounded out by subtle baking spices and soft oak on a long, luscious finish.
