Bruichladdich 2008 Islay House Feis Ile 2018 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 58% ABV
Bruichladdich 2008 Islay House Fèis Ìle 2018 is an exceptionally limited single-cask release created exclusively for the Islay House estate during the 2018 Feis Ile. Distilled in 2008 and aged for 10 years, this unpeated Islay single malt was finished using a multi-cask regimen combining ex-bourbon, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez sherry woods, and bottled at a robust cask strength of 58% ABV with only 281 bottles produced. The nose leads with crisp orchard fruits, citrus zest, and soft vanilla, balanced by deep sherry notes of dark raisins and a hint of coastal brine. On the palate, its rich and oily texture delivers sweet malt, honeyed dried fruit, toasted nuts, and warming baking spices, culminating in a long, lingering finish marked by dark chocolate, oak tannins, and a refreshing burst of sea salt.
