Dumped on October 18, 1993, this vintage expression of Blanton’s Single Barrel captures a prized era of bourbon produced at the Ancient Age distillery (now Buffalo Trace). Pulled from the famous metal-clad Warehouse H and bottled at 93 proof (46.5% ABV), it features a deeper, more oak-forward profile than modern releases. The nose opens with rich caramel, polished leather, dried orange peel, and warm baking spices. On the palate, a velvety texture delivers bold notes of butterscotch, dark fruit, and toasted oak, fading slowly into a long, satisfying finish of cinnamon and dark chocolate. Given its early-90s heritage under the legacy of Master Distiller Elmer T. Lee, this bottle remains a sought-after gem for collectors.
