Black Tot 50th Anniversary Rum: Celebrating the history of Royal Navy Rum
31 July 1970 was the day on which the Royal Navy discontinued the daily rum ration for their sailors and is known as Black Tot Day. The remaining rum sat in storage for many years before being bought by Speciality Drinks in order to create Black Tot.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Black Tot Day, Speciality Drinks have created a commemorative limited edition Black Tot blend. In this release of just 5000 bottles, you will find a marriage of rums from the four cornerstones of the Royal Navy blend: Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, and Trinidad. Bottled at full Navy Issuing Strength, discover rums from demolished distilleries and ancient stills, and even the remnants of the historic Navy Rum blend itself.
