Ben Wyvis Distillery was a brief but intriguing presence in the Highland whisky landscape. Established in 1965 within the Invergordon grain complex, it was designed to produce unpeated malt for blending—particularly for Whyte & Mackay. Despite its modern setup, the distillery was decommissioned in 1977 after just 11 years. Its legacy lives on through rare single malt releases and the repurposing of its stills at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown
