Ballantine’s Barrel Smooth is an exceptionally velvety blended Scotch whisky that offers a rich, sweet variation on the brand's classic profile. By finishing a portion of the blend in selectively toasted, double-charred oak barrels, the whisky extracts deep caramelization from the wood to deliver enhanced smoothness and complexity. Bottled at 40% ABV, this expression features inviting aromas of soft caramel and orchard fruits, which transition into a creamy palate of honey, vanilla, toasted oats, and a whisper of smoke before settling into a long, sweet butterscotch finish.
