Distilled in the year 2000 as the second release in the distillery's Y2K Vintage Series, the Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 24 Year Old is a ultra-rare Islay single malt bottled at 46% ABV. Matured for nearly a quarter century in ex-bourbon and rare Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, it elevates Ardbeg's trademark soot and peat smoke with deep, rich layers of dried figs, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee beans. On the palate, vibrant citrus oil and salted caramel weave through dense maritime smoke and baking spices, leading into an extraordinarily long, velvety finish of lingering campfire ember, sweet oak, and gentle aniseed. Distilled 2000 and bottled 2024.
