Amrut Spectrum Batch #1 Indian Single Malt Whisky, 70cl, 50% ABV

This is Batch #1 of Amrut Spectrum, released in October 2015. 

The Amrut Spectrum is a highly innovative Indian single malt series renowned for its pioneering "hybrid cask" maturation technique. After initial aging in ex-bourbon barrels, the unpeated spirit is transferred into custom-built casks constructed from a mix of four or five distinct wood staves—including New American oak, New French oak, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximénez sherry. Bottled at 50% ABV, this multi-wood synergy yields a dense, luxurious whisky with a deep mahogany hue, delivering a complex profile of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and heavy baking spices balanced by rich, jammy dark fruits and a robust, drying oak finish.
