Torabhaig Distillery is the second ever licensed single malt Scotch whisky distillery built on the Isle of Skye, commencing production in January 2017 inside a lovingly restored 19th-century farm steading in Teangue. Owned by Mossburn Distillers, it holds a unique operational philosophy centered around "well-tempered peat," producing a style that balances robust Hebridean smoke with bright maritime brine, sweet malt, and subtle fruitiness. Equipped with traditional Douglas Fir washbacks and custom copper pot stills, Torabhaig has garnered a dedicated global following through its progressive "Legacy Series" bottlings and a distinctive distillery program that invests in training local Hebridean craftspeople.
