Wolfburn 10 Year Old Vulcan Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 46% ABV
Distilled in Thurso as a limited-edition release for the Vulcan Naval Reactor Test Establishment, this 10-year-old Wolfburn single malt highlights the northern Highland distillery’s unpeated house style with a rich sherry cask influence. Aged fully in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or extra coloring, it brings forward a velvety profile filled with notes of dark fruits, milk chocolate, and sweet caramel, all resting on a comforting backdrop of warm spice, vanilla oak, and subtle raisins. One of 890 bottles.
Distillery Heritage
Wolfburn distillery, the most northerly on the Scottish mainland, is nestled in the town of Thurso. Founded in 1821 by William Smith, the original distillery operated for around 30 years before its closure. The current Wolfburn distillery, established in January 2013, stands just 350 metres from the ruins of its predecessor, continuing the legacy of exceptional whisky craftsmanship.
