Wolfburn Batch 177 is created by blending whisky aged eight years in first-fill ex-bourbon hogsheads with whisky matured for seven years in first-fill Caribbean rum barrels. This skilled fusion produces a whisky that balances the refined elegance of bourbon aging with distinctive sweetness and complexity imparted by the rum casks.

Distillery Heritage

Wolfburn distillery, the most northerly on the Scottish mainland, is nestled in the town of Thurso. Founded in 1821 by William Smith, the original distillery operated for around 30 years before its closure. The current Wolfburn distillery, established in January 2013, stands just 350 metres from the ruins of its predecessor, continuing the legacy of exceptional whisky craftsmanship.
