Highland Park Ice Edition 17 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl, 53.9% ABV
A full Bourbon cask matured whisky release by Highland Park. This Single Malt is 17 years old and bottled at a cask strength of 53.9% abv. This Highland Park Ice is part of a series and it's sister release will be the "Fire" edition.
Nose: Singed straw, burnt milk, coconut creme brulee, baked banana, bonfire of gorse and heather, smoked almonds, mango & chilli salsa, pineapple singed on a bbq, anise.
Palate: Sooty sugared almonds, vanilla pods in coconut milk, spiced white chocolate, burnt straw, pineapple and mango salsa, battenberg cake with apricot glaze, white pepper and subtle smoke.
Finish: Coconut, toasted vanilla, floral/heather notes, sugared almonds, peppery spiced oak, white chocolate, toasted marsmallows, sooty smoke over pineapple.
First fill Ex-Bourbon casks to the fore here but with the trademark Highland park smoke & heather notes showing well too, elegant and some long lasting spice on the finish of this limited release that will melt the ice in your veins on a cold night.
