Initially matured in refill butts and hogsheads filled in 2009, it was then finished for almost two years in seven Moscatel de Málaga casks, inspired by a reference found in the distillery’s 1899 archives. This luscious Andalusian fortified wine brings vibrant sweetness and ripe fruit notes that intertwine beautifully with Lagavulin’s hallmark peat smoke, offering an opulent balance of depth and elegance. Released exclusively for the Fèis Ìle festival, it is a confident yet sophisticated expression, best savoured neat or with a splash of water—and an exceptional match for dark chocolate.
